Care instructions for printed textiles

To ensure that printed textiles look good for as long as possible, they should be washed and cared for properly. With the right care, the print and material can be preserved, so that colors and designs last longer.

In general: Printed textiles should be treated as gently as possible. High temperatures, aggressive detergents, and strong mechanical stress can both put strain on the textile and the print more quickly.

What you should pay attention to in care

Before the first wear, it is recommended to wash the textile once. This allows for the removal of any possible printing residues that may occur due to production.

Before the first wash, it may be useful to briefly soak the fabric in cold water to reduce possible shrinkage.

For printed textiles in screen printing and digital printing, we recommend a washing temperature of a maximum of 30 °C. Lower temperatures generally preserve both the fabric and the print.

Before washing, you should turn the fabric inside out. This will better protect the printed surface in the drum and put less strain on it.

Avoid fabric softeners and all-purpose detergents as much as possible. They can unnecessarily stress the pressure and material. Gentler detergents are generally more suitable.

Whenever possible, printed textiles should not be dried in the dryer. The additional heat can negatively affect the durability and appearance of the print.

Caution is also important when ironing: Turn the fabric inside out and do not iron directly over the printed area. Additionally, you should avoid pulling on the print, scratching it, or applying heavy pressure. Mechanical stress can damage the surface of the print.
